Checked 23 October 2026, Korea Standard Time (KST, UTC+9). The Namsan Night Festival starts on 23 October, but its three experiences do not run on the same dates or use the same meeting point. Before building an evening around it, decide whether you want a seated picnic, an organized autumn walk or a headphone DJ party, then check that specific reservation.

The answer in three lines
- Campnic: the organizer announced bookings were full on 14 October. Cancellations may return to Naver, but a place is not guaranteed.
- Autumn Foliage Walk: choose by date as well as difficulty. The October and November departures follow different routes.
- Palgak Club: the 14 November party has a later booking opening, 2 November at 10:00 KST.
These are reserved activities with an upfront payment intended to be refunded after attendance verification. Do not interpret “refundable” as “no payment needed.” The Campnic, walk and club pages explain the respective amounts.
Compare the three plans
| Experience | 2026 dates and KST hours | Upfront payment | Best planning fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Namsan Campnic | 23–24 and 30–31 October; 6–7 November. 17:00–22:00. | KRW 10,000 per team | A seated evening, if you secure a reservation. |
| Autumn Foliage Walk | 23–24 October; 6–7 November. Reserved departure groups, not continuous entry. | KRW 5,000 per person | A scheduled walk with a different finish point. |
| Palgak Club | 14 November. 17:30–19:00 or 19:30–21:00. | KRW 5,000 | A specific 90-minute headphone party session. |
The dates above come from the organizer’s three program pages. In particular, do not book a hotel evening around the assumption that the walk also operates on 30–31 October. That weekend appears in the Campnic schedule, not the published walk dates.
Campnic: plan around a confirmed place, not a cancellation hope
Campnic takes place at Baekbeom Square. You select the tent or picnic-mat zone when reserving; the program combines music, films and an on-site radio show. It is the more stationary choice if your group would rather spend the evening together in one place than follow a walking course. See the official Campnic program.
The 14 October booking notice says reservations had filled and cancelled spaces may reappear on Naver on a first-come basis. This article has not verified live reservation inventory. Keep another evening plan until you receive a successful booking confirmation; a sold-out notice is not a promise that checking again will produce a seat.

The organizer’s FAQ says solo participation is possible and a tent accommodates up to four adults. Tents or mats are provided for the relevant zone, with equipment that must be returned. You do not need to carry a complete camping setup across Seoul.
Outside food is permitted, but cooking and personal flames are restricted. Delivery must be collected at the designated pickup point rather than brought inside by the courier. Any on-site registration depends on leftover space, so it is not a reliable substitute for booking. These conditions appear on the Campnic participation page.
The walk: choose your date before your route
The city announcement gives four walking dates: 23–24 October and 6–7 November. It describes two departure groups, around 16:00 and 17:00, rather than an attraction you can enter whenever convenient. The reservation time should determine your afternoon schedule.

The more detailed 17 October departure notice gives staggered starts during 16:00–16:20 and 17:00–17:20. It mentions a separate 18:00 assembly for late arrivals. Treat that as a contingency, not your target: finish check-in before the departure time on your reservation.
The current walk rules state that arrival after 18:00 counts as a no-show, with no participation or refund. Leave room for finding the reception desk instead of planning to reach the park at the last possible minute.
Course 1: the October option
For 23–24 October, the published route is approximately 3.8 km and 90 minutes: Namsan Yejang Park, North Ringway, Jangchung Outdoor Gym, Namsan Information Center, Sky Forest Trail, then Namsan Library entrance. The city’s complete Course 1 description is captured below so you can distinguish the start from the finish.

The organizer lists three stair sections on Course 1. Its inclusion of a barrier-free deck section should not be read as a statement that the entire course is step-free. Check the current route notes against your group’s needs.
Course 2: the November option, with a current correction
For 6–7 November, the organizer currently lists 4.2 km and about two hours, through Namsan Information Center and the Northern Forest Trail to Namsangol Hanok Village. It warns of repeated downhill stairs. The older city release instead says about 1 hour 40 minutes and lists N Seoul Tower; use the current organizer route for planning, not the older Course 2 wording.
A longer route is not automatically the better holiday choice. Consider how much walking is already in your day and how your group manages stairs after dark. Keep dinner flexible rather than treating a published walking estimate as a guaranteed finish time.
Palgak Club: a separate November booking
Palgak Club is scheduled for Saturday, 14 November, at Namsan Palgakjeong. Choose either 17:30–19:00 or 19:30–21:00. The organizer’s club page says reservations open on Monday, 2 November, at 10:00 KST, with a KRW 5,000 prepayment refundable after participation is confirmed. Further program details were still marked as forthcoming when checked.

The city describes a silent DJ format using wireless headphones supplied at the venue. If this is the experience you want, save the booking opening in Korea time and check the club page again before that date. Do not mistake the October opening of the broader festival for the opening of club reservations.
Booking and refunds: what an international visitor should check
Seoul’s announcement explicitly welcomes international visitors and directs advance bookings to Naver Reservation. It does not establish that every overseas account, phone number or payment card will work. We have not tested foreign-card checkout or a particular visitor’s account. Follow the booking link from the official program page and resolve any account or payment problem before relying on the activity.
Check the reservation’s participant category as well. The organizer’s foreigners-only reservation notice says that this channel is for foreign participants. Korean participants should use the domestic reservation page; the organizer warns that Korean participants booked through the foreign-only channel may have their reservations cancelled.

The full attendance-based refund depends on the organizer verifying participation, not merely on possessing a reservation. The FAQ also gives separate batch-refund windows for certain deposits paid by bank transfer rather than Naver Pay. Do not assume every payment method is refunded instantly at the gate. Keep your confirmation and attendance information until the payment has been reconciled; check your booking’s cancellation conditions before committing.
Cancellation refunds are a separate matter. The 12 October refund notice lists a full refund for cancellation on the day the reservation is made or at least seven days before use, a 90% refund three to six days before use, and a 70% refund one to two days before use. Check the notice and ask the organizer about event-day cancellation before assuming that missing the activity qualifies for a refund.
Save the correct arrival point
- Campnic: Baekbeom Square, 100-115 Hoehyeon-dong 1-ga, Jung-gu.
- Walk: Namsan Yejang Park, 5-22 Juja-dong, Jung-gu.
- Club: Namsan Palgakjeong, 8-1 Yejang-dong, Jung-gu.
Use the separate map buttons on the official arrival page, not a generic search for “Namsan.” The organizer recommends public transport and does not provide parking-fee support. For the walk, save the finish point as well as the reception location. A one-way route changes where you will start the journey back to your accommodation.
Before you leave: a short checklist
- Confirm the program, date, departure or session, and successful reservation.
- Save your confirmation so it is easy to retrieve at reception.
- Read the latest organizer notices and check the weather for your actual date.
- Bring warm layers for time outdoors after sunset and footwear suited to the planned route.
- Keep the walking bag light: the walk page says there is no belongings-storage service.
- Leave a buffer before dinner, onward travel or another timed ticket.
Outdoor conditions can change. The Campnic guidance allows weather-related changes or cancellation, so a clear reservation is not a guarantee of unchanged operation. This guide does not provide a weather forecast.
Quick questions
Is the festival open every night from 23 October to 14 November?
No. That is the overall event span. Use the individual dates in the comparison above; the three programs have separate calendars.
Why might a Naver booking product disappear?
The official FAQ says sold-out products may stop displaying and can reappear if cancellations release spaces. Disappearance alone is not proof of a technical fault.
Can I simply arrive for Campnic without a booking?
Only if space remains. For a dependable evening plan, secure confirmation before travelling specifically for Campnic.
Can I combine the walk and Campnic?
Do not assume one reservation includes the other. Check both bookings and allow for the walk’s different finish point, transfer time and check-in requirements before attempting a combined evening.
